About admin
As a child, Dawn was a world traveler - she couldn't help it. Her father was a navigator in the US Air Force. She & her family lived as far east & south as Florida, as far north as Alaska, and as far west as the Ryuku Islands & Japan. Dawn graduated from Kubasaki High School on Okinawa. She moved to Tucson to attend the University of Arizona. She finally received her degrees from Arizona State University in Tempe. Dawn was a teacher & counselor for over 30 years for Mesa & Gilbert school systems. It seems once she put down roots, aside from moving from one Phoenix suburb to another, she was glad to call Arizona her home. I suppose you could say she is nearly a native. Dawn has attended all three universities & continues to take classes through Arizona’s renowned community college system. Al attended high school in New Jersey, just outside of Asbury Park (the easiest landmark). He couldn't wait to see sunshine, so he chose Arizona to attend college and Northern Arizona University was noted for their criminal justice program. After graduation, Al traveled the world working for the federal government as a Naval Criminal Investigative Service agent. He lived as far east as Maryland, as far west as California & overseas in Spain. Upon retirement, he moved back to Arizona, a place he fell in love with as a young college student. One night at Ruffino's Italian Restaurant in Ahwatukee, they met, fell in love & have been together ever since. Now, both retired from service careers, they decided to put their life experiences to work in a different realm -they entered the real estate profession at the end of the market surge. Unfortunately, the market was in a long downward spiral - some might call it an E- ride! But, through the entire downturn, they've enjoyed helping young couples find their first homes, retirees find the ideal community, & young families choose the perfect neighborhood.
They are golfers and down hill skiers. They enjoy their grandkids (4 & two on the way) - fortunately, they also live in the Phoenix area. They have many friends throughout the world, but The Foothills buddies are the real treat! Their house is a money pit, but they love it & especially love that they live on The Foothills Golf Course.
Dawn & Al still enjoy traveling - they just like coming home ... because, there's no place like home ...
They get the importance of finding the perfect community to raise a family. Dawn & Al understand the whole re-location process, whether it's moving from New York to Phoenix or from Queen Creek to Tempe.
Dawn & Al’s primary expertise in their real estate business is selecting golf course property, retirement communities, luxury homes, & especially, Ahwatukee, where they live. They have listed & sold homes all over the valley, from Vistancia in Peoria to Robson Ranch near Eloy! Dawn & Al Hughes truly know the valley!
